Gomoku

Set your piece on any unoccupied intersection of the board. Try to create a sequence of five markers in a row, either sideways, vertically, or at an angle. Stop your competitor from forming their own row of five. Take turns putting markers with your rival until one contestant succeeds in making a line of 5. Remember that the contest ends immediately when a line of 5 is made, with no need to occupy the entire board.
